Legal Overview: The City of Lafayette has very specific ordinances
protecting ridge tops and open spaces. This proposal flies in the
face of restrictions and has reached the level of Design Review based on
a fallacious application, either submitted as an attempt to deceive, or
as a demonstration of the developer's naiveté. The Developer has
also failed to follow procedures such as marking the site with a
story-pole mock-up for public viewing in compliance with standards (see site procedures below).
